383 Cast Iron O.E.M. Blocks & Heads
377 Cast Iron O.E.M. Blocks & Heads
Roller Camshaft OK. Any Cubic Inch OK. Must be O.E.M.
Cast Iron Block & Heads Only - No Aluminum Heads or Blocks
Racing Transmission OK. Bert, Brinn or Falcon.
Must Weigh 3500 Lbs. With Car & Driver after the race.
Must display Weight Rule on Hood for Inspection. Anyone or all of these apply to the 3500 lb. Weight rule.

Yeah they better put some dirt on 59 to pass b/c its going to be one lane. WHAT DOES IT MATTER TO YOU ABOUT THE RACING SURFACE? ?DIDN'T YOU SAY YOU WEREN'T GOING TO RACE THERE??? THE TRACK BECOMES ONE GROOVE BECAUSE THE FIRST CLASSES TO HOT LAP MAKE IT THAT WAY. THE ONE NIGHT LAST YEAR WHEN IT WAS MORE THAN A ONE GROOVE TRACK IS WHEN WE DIDN'T ROLL IN THE TOP. THEN EVERYONE HAD TO RUN THE BOTTOM. IT EVENTUALLY BECAME A 2 GROOVE TRACK BECAUSE DRIVERS WERE FORCED TO RACE THE BOTTOM AND THEN THE TOP GOT WORKED IN. JMO

every nite i ran out there last year it was 2 groove. The only ones who say that it is one groove are those who don't know how to set the cars up to run where everybody isn't. the drivers with talent never seem to have trouble passing.

THE LAST NIGHT I RACED, KENNY COTTON, SCOTTIE TAYLOR AND I RAN 3 WIDE ON THE FIRST LAP OF THE HEAT RACE. I WAS LMAO AND TRYING TO DRIVE AT THE SAME TIME. KENNY AND STILL LAUGH ABOUT THAT.

Man where you run from night to night is set up and driver skill. If everyone is running the top you gotta adjust your car and driving style to go where you can pass or pull successful slide jobs. Sounds to me like a rookie with a big head needs to go lay down under the porch and let the grown ups talk!! LMAO! Edited to add: anyone who has done this more than a min. can tell ya that!

i was taught long ago, you gotta run where they're not! hook you crack me up because in some ways that is why i am going drag racing! Dirt racing has gotten hard to afford for the payout, in drag racing you have lites to balance the playing field and you build the car you can afford and run it!

LARRY THE BEST NIGHT I HAD RACING AT CCS WAS WHEN I WAS FINISHED THE RACE A LAP DOWN BUT WHEN THE CHECKERED FLEW I WAS PASSING THE 5TH PLACE CAR. I WENT A LAP DOWN BECAUSE OF A FLAT, BUT CAME BACK ON THE TRACK 1/2 LAP BEHIND THE FIELD. I WENT TO THE BOTTOM AND PASSED 12 CARS. THE TIRE WE PUT ON THE LEFT FRONT HAD 18 lbs IN IT. I LEARNED SOMETHING NEW THAT NIGHT. AT CCS I CAN RUN A HIGHER AIR PRESSURE IN MY LEFT FRONT AND IT HELPS MY CAR HOOK UP ON THE BOTTOM.
AS FOR RED, I'VE SEEN HIM WIN MANY A RACE FROM ANYWHERE ON THE TRACK.
