Continue to do what we have done the last couple years and go to places that are easier on the car --- less work/money to fix/maintain the car means more money for actual racing

not gonna race at all really, until things stabilize all money goes to necessities and nothing else, there is no telling how bad this could get and money used for racing now could very important in a few months.....I'll still be at the track though helping out my friends in the pits!

Well here is my 2 cents. Ray we are both in the car business so just bare with me. If say 100,000 people went out tomorrow and bought a new car. What does that mean?? Well the car markers say $$,auto vendors say $$, auto techs say $$ more potential work, etc etc. Its like the little kid that was swimming and thinks he sees a shark then before long everybody is scared to get back in the water till some brave sole takes a leap of faith and says its all clear jump back in. What will continue to make this thing worse is everybody hanging out on the sidelines and not willing to spend some $$ and live life. A guy told me the other day live life today and worry about tomorrow then. I struggle with that but so true if we die next week in a train wreck or some freak thing then that is something we can't control. So in the mean time if you have a few extra $$ in your pockets let's go have some fun and live life to the fullest in the dirt doing circles. I can smell methanol and racing fuel in the air... Dude I'm pumped just got off the PS2 playing Saturday night speedway awesome game!!!! Last week at my yearly physical they said I may need blood pressure medicine whatever I have a need for speed and the roar of the cars taking the green flag.

One last thing a comment to Julie's reply race to have fun and that isn't always about winning, This is a hobby to most of us so make the most of it travel around some. I guess racing every weekend at the same old place running for points for example gets old and I've got caught up in it too not to mention EXPENSIVE. I can remember back in 2000 when the economy was good cars stopped showing up at Pea Ridge well wasn't long till the only thing showing was grasshoppers and toad frogs. One last thought back when TVS was open it generated several thousands of dollars of income for area businesses weekly. After the lady on the hill got involved helping to end it but I bet the city now would welcome some extra $$$ of racers money.... Get out and support the AMERICAN economy and let's not sit on our tuffs waiting on Obama!!!! IF I WANTED TO LIVE IN A GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED SOCIETY THEN I WOULD HAVE MOVED TO CHINA A LONG TIME AGO!!!!

We will be out there a month or so into the season (I don't feel like freezing my bum off this early in the year! LOL). Ain't got the funds to travel all over the place racing the truck so we are going to stay local and have fun in the dirt when we can.

I really dont understand your comments xracer, what are you talking about a govt. controlled society? The deregulation of the banking industry and the markets are the cause of this whole mess, you need govt. oversight to make sure the greedy bastards on wall street arent robbing everyone blind like they have been. Taking billions in out tax monies and handing out million dollar bonuses to the exact people who are responsible for this mess. The fact is Obama is the president, and he happens to be following the worst president and administration in the history of our country, so he's got his hands full and I have seen more action from him in the first couple of weeks then I seen from Bush in 8 years. There are already some positive signs in the economic data, housing sales are up for the first time in a very long time. The economy is as much an emtional thing as any, just the fact that george is gone should help because people feel more comfortable about the future now than they did a few months ago.
