Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Ks. will be hosting a $10,000 purse enduro on september 24th. more information will be posted on their website later this week. will be a 200 lap race for the money. Qualifiers may be ran depending on car count. $5 for grandstand admission. $30 pit pass. gated open at 11am race begins at 2pm. concession stands will be open along with smoked bbq dinners.
starting Aug 6th we will be running a weekly enduro class. enduro cars will be ran after all A features are complete and will be a 25 lap race. enduro rules posted below are for both the weekly enduro class and the $10,000 special. weekly race will NOT have the claim rule nor will qualifiers be ran. more information will be posted on caneyvalleyspeedway.net ASAP.
1. Entries – $30 pit pass. each driver must draw for qualifying heats. will run up to 4 quilifiers which will be 50 laps a piece. Second chance race will be ran for those that didn't qualify. IF less than 50 cars we will put all cars on the track for the prize money. Money is guaranteed. money race will be 200 laps. second chance race of 50 laps will be ran 15 minutes after last qualifier. top 10 drivers from qualifiers and top 10 from last chance will transfer to main race and will also have 15 minutes to prep car before main race. There will be provisional positions available. line up for heats will be on first come first served basis, horn will be sounded to inform time for heat line ups, second chance race and main race. ALL cars must be in line up in reasonable amount of time.
2. Registration – A driver registration form must be filled out prior to the race. The forms are located at the pit gate. All information must be filled out to be eligible to race.
3. Eligible Vehicles – Event is open to American or Foreign manufactured street cars and mini vans, no convertibles or pick ups. These vehicles are to remain stock for make, model and year with the exception of the modifications that follow. The engine, rear end (or transaxle) and transmission must remain stock. NO race cars, street stocks, pure stocks or similar.
4. Entrants – All drivers must be a minimum of 16 years of age. One passenger in the front seat is optional.
5. All Participants – No radio communication allowed (one way radio, cell phone, racerecievers of any kind).
6. Appearance – Lettering must be in good taste. We encourage theme cars (Spiderman, Police, Sponge Bob ect). Best looking car will recieve $100 and trophy.
7. Numbers – Numbers must be easy to read and located on front doors and/or roof top signs.
8. Battery – If battery is relocated it must be contained in a marine type container and securely fastened.
9. Body – All cars must retain their stock appearance. No cutting, chopping, channeling or shortening allowed. trimming of wheel wells or fenders will be allowed.
10. Dash, Firewall & Interior – Non-Metal interior trim and seals not used may be removed. There must be a firewall between the driver’s compartment and the engine. The left side door is recommended to leave interior panel for protection or if removed, add padding.
11. Doors –All doors must be welded shut. At least (4) 1 inch welds per door. Doors can also be chained (if not welded) minimum of 1/8” chain loops and minimum of 3/8” bolts with 2 chains on each door.
12. Engine – Must be stock. you can swap motors ( example chevy in ford ) BUT motor, carbs, heads, intake, exhaust ect. MUST remain stock. CARBURETOR: One 2 brl or 4 brl only. Must be OEM stock. No double pumpers. No electric fuel pumps unless car is factory fuel injected. Stock air cleaners. Pump gas only. No racing fuel or alcohol.
13. Gas Tank – Gas tank in original position, no rusted straps, if so add extra. If not in original position, it must be in the trunk and strapped with at least (4) 1” straps. Gas tanks must be secure and no leaks allowed.
if gas tank is mounted in the rear trunk then the rear firewall between the driver and gas tank must be completely sealed with sheet metal or aluminum sheet.
14. Glass & Trim – All glass and plastic must be removed. This includes all chrome, lights, mirrors, reflectors, trim and inside door panels must be removed. Trunk and inside of car must be swept clean. No inside or outside mirrors. All knobs, handles, decks, unnecessary upholstery and seats must be removed. A heavy duty screen with a maximum 2”x2” screen must cover the original windshield area. A center support from dash to the roof should also be added for support. Must be pop riveted or welded from post to post full length of windshield area. No chicken wire or storm door screen.
15. Safety - All entrants must wear full faced helmet. Fire racing suit recommended. Gloves are recommended. If not wearing a racing suit, jeans, long shirt or jacket and boots are highly recommended.
16. Seat & Seat Belts – Seat must be securely mounted. Lap and shoulder belts securely mounted and in working condition. It is highly recommended that a rear seat support be added.
17. Suspension – Must remain absolutely STOCK for that make and model, including rear end, gears maybe locked. drive shaft must be painted white
18. Tires & Wheels – Maximum wheel width 8”. DOT stamped tires ONLY. NO asphalt take-offs or hoosier 500's BUT ungrooved kk704 with DOT factory stamps are allowed but not required. tires must pass 10 3/4" go or no go hoop. 1" lugnuts recommended.
19. Roll Cage – A Roll Cage or roll over bar with support bars IS MANDATORY FOR YOUR SAFTEY. it must consist of continuous hoops, Minimum 1.50” O.D. tubing with wall thickness of at least .095” for main cage, low carbon or mild steel recommended.. must have at least one door bar, if on outside of body, can not have sharp edges and not pass door seem 6" on either end.
20. Bumpers - Front bumper MUST be a stock bumper with option of welding.
21. Payout $10,000 - 1st $3500, 2nd $1750, 3rd $1000, 4th $850, 5th $750, 6th $650, 7th $500, 8th $400, 9th $300, 10th $200, and $100 to best looking car. trophies will be for top 10 and best looking car.
CLAIMS: Any car that wins this race is subject to be bought for $750.00 cash and may be auctioned off as soon as the winner has been determined.All cars will be inspected for safety regulations prior to each race. Officials have the final determination if the cars meet safety standards and are eligible to race.These are not race cars they will not have front and rear hoops like a race car. If it is determined that your car is a race car you will not be allowed to race in the race.
