I think he should have stayed in the Nationwide Series with JR/Hendrick Motorsports thru 2010, then he could have easily been in the seat of the 5 if/when Martin vacates the ride.
EVEN if Martin doesn't, Stewart/Haas(Hendrick) is looking at expanding to 3 or 4 cars in late 2010 to 2011.
Point is, I think he should have been more patient and waited for the Cup ride in the Hendrick stable, even if it ment staying in the NNS until the opportunity arose.
Yes he's won 1 Nascar event, kind of in Jamie McMurray style. Remember Jamie tho? Does he still even drive? LOL

He should have waited tho !!! but if you was offered a ride in cup series would you have not jumped all over it also !!!

He can drive but I think he needed a few more cup races under his belt before he jumped to cup full time. Alot of his wins tho can be accredited to Eury Sr. his crew cheif. That guy has his car close if not dead on just about everywhere they go. Which makes it nice.

Nah Dale Jr's. new crew chief is gettin the 88 car there. Don't think he is going to be as fast and the rest of the Hendrick stables tho. He just ain't the driver that the 48 24 and 5 are but there ain't many drivers that could be as fast as the 48 24 and 5 drivers this year. Just sad it took this long for Rick Hendrick to chit can Eury Jr and give Little E a fighting chance.

To get off subject... I think hendrick should chit can Dale Jr. and put Marcos Ambrose in the 88. Now thats a driver boys. Imagine what he could do in hendrick equipment. He does a good job now with JTG Daugherty, thats just an affiliate of Michael Waltrip Racing. He smokes MRW cars week in week out, even ahead of good ole Dale Jr. in the standings. And I don't believe he's wrecked one car yet.
Keselowski move up?? Why not. Hell Joey Lagano got a ride for one of the best teams out, and he has way less experience than Keselowski. Lagano was the one moved up to fast, but many others have made the same mistake. But I'd say your not going to pass up the oppourtunity to go Sprint Cup racing just cause you think your not ready. If the guy that owns the car and writes the check thinks you got what it takes, Then Hell yeah, sign me up. JMO

That ain't no Chit! The worst part is he moved up to fast and is treated like he is the next comming of Dale Sr. H3ll if it wasn't for couple rainouts he more than likely wouldn't be in the top 20 in points.

I get tired of seeing Dale Jr on the cover of every racing magazine there is................that'd be like putting me standing next to a mod to promote the USMTS! LMBO Promote your stuff with winners, not a guy blessed with a great last name.

The only reason he is on all those covers is because he is one of NAPCAR's most popular drivers. Hendrick ain't gonna can him because of what he is worth sponser wise and retail wise. I Agree with the Marcus Ambros deal that guy can wheel a car!

Alot can change in a season, he had to take his cup ride when it came. There are a million things that could happen to where he wouldnt have ended up at hendrick had he waited.
